Taking the pith

Today was a more successful day kitting out "the van with no name". We spent what felt like a fortune in Big W getting a water bottle, esky, storage drawers, utensils, chopping board, cutlery, camping chairs, scales, crockery, there is so much ot buy when you have nothing.

I bought a great little citrus peeler to save my teeth, gums and fingers from the perils of peeling oranges. I am eating around four a day, they are so delicious. All fruit and vegetables are delicious here, even M&S fruit was starting to get a bit tasteless in England.

People here are very passionate about buying Australian, preferably West Australian. I think this is wonderful and we have adopted the same attitude. Oly and I diligently check the labels and country of origin for everything we buy, even the toilet roll is from WA. There is nothing like having fresh home growth produce!
